Wranglers Youth Camp a Success!
June 23, 2008 – The Wranglers held their first annual Youth Camp June 16-20 at the RRRink in Medford. The camp included eighteen 9-12 year old players from the Rogue Valley and was put on by Wranglers staff Kevin Schwartz and Dan Switalla and players Adam Webster and Sam Jossie.
The intensive camp included two on-ice practices per day plus various off-ice training and activities. "Keeping the players entertained from 9:00am to 5:00pm was probably our biggest challenge" said Schwartz. Campers were excited to recieve a Wranglers practice jersey and two free tickets to the Wranglers home opener just for attending camp. Players were also given an in depth evaluation of their skill sets prior to departing on their final day. The camp ended with a spirited game between the blue and red squads with most parents in attendence.
The Wranglers recieved very positive feedback from both players and parents and look forward to an even bigger Youth Camp next summer. For more information on Rogue Valley Wranglers Youth Hockey Camps, contact Kevin Schwartz at GM@roguevalleywranglers.com
