Chris Bonelli
Chris Bonelli returns to the Wranglers Coaching staff this season after a brief hiatus. Coach Bonelli has enjoyed a successful tenure as Head Coach of the local Ashland High School Grizzlies and will now make the full time jump to the Junior A level.
Coach Bonelli graduated from Army Navy Academy in Carlsbad, California in 1980. He attended Santa Rosa Junior College. He is married and has two children.
Chris started playing hockey in San Francisco during the inaugural year of the NNHL. He played for 10 years with the San Francisco Mustangs. During this time he also received his Level 3 referee license. He has refereed all levels of the game including the collegiate level. Coach Bonelli attended the United States Olympic Officials Training Seminar in Colorado Springs and served as the Head Official and Instructor for the Southern Oregon Referee Association.
Bonelli has served as President, Vice President and Hockey Director on the Board of Directors for Rogue Valley Youth Hockey Association. He was an instrumental figure for beginning the High School Ice Hockey League. He has served the last 4 seasons as the Varsity Head Coach for the Ashland High School Hockey Club which he lead to the 2007-08 league championship. He also serves as Head Coach for the Rogue Valley Stars Midget travel team. Coach Bonelli is currently attaining a Hockey GM and Scouting degree.
